Northern Ireland businesses urged to export

Northern Ireland's Enterprise Minister, Arlene Foster, has encouraged both experienced exporters and first-timers to investigate business opportunities in new overseas markets.

Speaking at an exhibition in Dubai, Arlene Foster congratulated Lisburn-based company Lowe Refrigeration on its recent export successes in the Gulf. The company's attendance at major exhibitions in the region has seen it win significant business and open a new office and distribution facility there. The firm has also been able to identify business opportunities in the region and launch new services to cater for this demand.

Foster said that Lowe's achievements in the Emirates were "the outcome of a strategic approach to this important market."

Both Foster and Lowe's General Manager, Mark Wood, stressed the significance of the support that the firm received from Invest NI, the body responsible for supporting Northern Ireland's businesses to compete internationally.
